Special rate assets pool

Special Rate Asset Pool List shows the activities of the company and enables you to enter Special Rate Assets Pool for each of those activities.

To open Special Rate Assets Pool for a particular activity, highlight that activity and select Edit.

Special Rate Assets Pool shows the capital allowances available in respect of assets identified as any of the Special rate assets pool options in the Fixed asset register for the activity selected.

The Main Rate Assets Pool guidance similarly applies to Special Rate Assets Pool. There are boxes to deal with long-life assets and integral features which are only relevant to the Special Rate Assets Pool.

In the Additions qualifying for FYA section, there are boxes to deal with FYA - Part expensing which is only relevant to the Special Rate Assets Pool, whereas FYA - Full expensing is only relevant to the Main rate assets pool and Short life assets.

In the Additions qualifying for SR allowance section, there are boxes to deal with SR allowance and Expenditure less SR allowance which are only relevant to the Special Rate Assets Pool, whereas Super-deduction is only relevant to the Main rate assets pool and Short life assets.
